Girlfriends Unlimited is so successful in helping churches create a fun and vibrant
place for women to connect. Women are gathering together, laughing together and then
coming back for more!
There are so many exciting stories we hear from our Girlfriends Unlimited Connections. Here are just a few, in their own words.
I love this ministry! It not only helps us reach out, but it helps us within our church. It's put a fire under everyone! Girlfriends Unlimited has created such a positive energy around the church -we're excited to be there! We have G! Groups of women connecting, and we have active Bible studies.
The men saw how Girlfriends was changing the hearts of women who were already a part of the church...and they wanted that too! It's sparked some change in them! We've always had a warm church family, but for as long as I remember, I have never seen the people of our church more excited to be there. I love this ministry!

I need to let you know how Girlfriends Unlimited has taken off at our church! Soon after we joined, we began talking about it-even though we weren't really sure what we were doing! Excitement began to build as our first big event, the Birthday Bash, grew closer. We have a church of 2,000 and have not had much response from the women in the past, so we thought we might get 100 women out, but we were praying for 200. Well, that night, the event was planned to start at 7:00 and they began showing up at 6:00! In the end, 270 women came!
I am thankful to God for His direction in leading me to Girlfriends Unlimited and inspiring me when I felt I had no strength.
We have been inundated with phone calls and e-mails. We had to add two Bible studies and have 9 G! Groups. We now have over 500 women in our database who have specifically connected with Girlfriends. This thing has taken off. I might have to quit my day job!
So, thank you for your inspiration and resources. We are flying!

One of the ladies in our church has come to all of our Girlfriends Unlimited GIGGs and she has brought her mother (who does not know Christ and refuses to go to church) to all of them. This lady's mother has LOVED Girlfriends Unlimited and can't wait for the next event. At our last event the mother invited one of her friends to come as well. At first her friend did not want to come because she was afraid we would "try to convert her" and this mother told her friend "these are the sweetest girls you will ever meet". Well her friend did come and had a blast and she can't wait for the next event either! This is all to God's glory! The Lord helps us in planting seeds of friendship and love and reaching that "one girlfriend". Be in prayer for this mother and her friend who still don't know Christ but I know God is working in their hearts.

Girlfriends!
I just had to share this e-mail I just got! My husband thinks I'm nuts because I'm screaming for joy and trying to type at the same time! This e-mail is from a lady on our GAB (Girlfriends Advisory Board) team ....
"I did have to share a story with you about Relay for Life. This lady came up to me and told me what a great time she has at our parties. I was really trying to be polite and place her but I didn't think she was ever at my home. Then I realized I had on a [Girlfriends Unlimited] T-shirt and she was talking about the Girlfriends Unlimited night!!! She cannot wait to the next one and is thinking of maybe starting to go to church. Ours is the one she is going to go to when she is ready. She thought all the people manning our booth were just wonderful and they all go to the same church. Amazing she said.
Amazing Grace! Keep praying for her! I never got her name because so many other people were coming up for water but I figured God knows who we are talking about!"
THAT, my friends, is GOD at work in people's lives through Girlfriends Unlimited! AWESOME! I'm so pumped! That woman didn't say that she went to a church event. She didn't say she went to a ladies event. She said a PARTY! A party that may ultimately bring her to church and most importantly to CHRIST. Yeah God! and Yeah Girlfriends Unlimited!

God did show up and show off for the ladies at SCC in Georgia Friday evening. It was such a blessing to see the faces of so many women Friday night truly SMILING FROM THE INSIDE OUT! We are still getting "stories". Here are just a few:
One lady told our Senior Minister's wife, that she is having a mastectomy this morning and Friday night was the best $5.00 she has ever spent. She [loved the pampering area], got a massage and brow waxing & tinting and her hands waxed. She had lots of fun in the game room. The lady said it helped her keep her mind off of losing her breasts.
My aha for the evening was when we did Cha Cha slide and I looked out over the dance floor and there was this tiny old lady Cha Cha Sliding right along with us. She received a prize for being the oldest on the dance floor. She is 84 years old! She danced every dance with us!
We had 58 ladies go by our Girlfriends Unlimited table on the way out Friday night and sign up to volunteer for our "Gaudy Gala".
I could go on and on, but I think that gives you an idea how much fun we had. It is so exciting joining God in what He is already doing with Girlfriends Unlimited. Thanks again.
